I love this toy. I ask FoMa to put treats in it all the time. Sometimes she just puts my food in there. Maybe she thinks I don't know the difference but I do. I sure hope my furever home has cool toys like this for me to play with. Might want to add it to your shopping list, just a hint.

New Toy
Auntie Kym bought us a new toy when her pups came for the weekend. I really like this toy and learned to work it really fast. It helps that if gives me treats and all I have to do is push it! We all shared but didn't really watch where we were going. Seems I rolled out of the room. Oh well, I'm the handsome one in the red collar.

We Had A Sleepover
My FoMA got to watch two extra greyhounds for 3 days and it was so much fun. My lovely blonde Hush came over and I spent all my time trying to tend to her every need. Cus I'm a gentleman that's why. Any way the other was a previous foster that I've met before. Seems he thought my crate was his crate too and since we both couldn't fit, FoMa declared it a crate free weekend! Yay! More time to tend to Hush.
We went on walks and all played outside together. I just made sure Hush didn't need any help going potty. Isn't she beautiful? Uh? Ok, so my tongue may have been hanging out. I promise I was not drooling.
We all wanted to sleep in FoMa's room so she threw down some extra blankets. That's me performing my roaching skills for Hush. No, she didn't notice that I still use the wall to hold me up. Besides none of the other boys roached for her.
We still had to follow all the rules. One at a time on the stairs, no searching for leftovers, share all the toys and wait at all the doors. It got a little crowded at the door ways but no worries. I'm taller than everyone else so I just looked over their heads. See
Soon, Hush and Havok's mommy came and took them home. It was a sad day for me but I am bouncing back. Oh Hush, will I ever see you again?

A Bootiful Weekend
This weekend was bootiful..FoMa let us take an extra long walk because it was so much cooler. We even got to hang out in the back yard to just soak up the sun. I was watching FoMa as she searched for poop. She looked like she was searching for gold. I pick a new spot every day just because she seems to enjoy searching. Here I am just chillin.
After the fun outside, we got our weekly peticures. FoMa says when I start to make clickity clack sounds on the floor, its time to get a trim. Look at my purties!! I'm a really good boy. I've learned to be very patient cus FoMa treats these nails like a work of art or something. I do look good though.
Don't forget to get your application in to those really nice GEGR folks. Tell them you want to meet that supper sweet pup who is ready to love on his very own family. Just mention my name, Comet, the one with the really long legs and a handsome smile.

Field Trip
Last Saturday FoMa loaded me up for a trip to Maryland. I had company when we stopped to pick up Rebel. Well Rebel got lucky and found his furever home. I know my family is waiting for me. I suppose you didn't get your application in on time or perhaps you overslept. No worries. I had lots of fun meeting new people and hanging out with all the other pups. Rebel was cool to ride up with, but oh boy I got to have Hush's company for the rest of the day and the ride home. That made the whole day better.
FoMa took the two of us to a teenage birthday party at her brother's house. There was a huge yard and lots of big kids to play with. We were the main attraction! Everyone loved us. The adults asked Foma tons of questions and the teens loved on Hush and I. They even went to the store and bought us toys. Too bad they didn't know I don't fetch. That's ok I was all about the kisses and ear scratches. King and Queen for a day! I think I need more parties. Maybe more kids. More kids having parties..yea that's it.

Play time
Hi guys. I finally wore my FoMa down on trying to get videos of me playing fetch. Basically I don't fetch. I figure I can learn to do that later. I still like running. My buddy Tapper is pretty fast and always up for a run around the yard. FoMa is always scared we're going to hit the fence but we are use to running in circles. So here ya go. I'm in the red collar. Try and keep up.
Just a reminder that you need to hurry up and put your application in with the fine folks at GEGR. Tell them you want to meet that dashing fellow named Comet. I'm the tall, dark and handsome one with a really soft coat. I love walks and ear scratches. I'm a gentle soul in search of a furever family that's in need of doggy kisses.

Caught in the act
FoMa caught me roaching. At first she thought it was Tapper because that's his favorite bed against the wall and he roaches all the time. When she realized it was me she scrambled for her camera to take this pic. Did I mention she woke me up in the process. Now I've had to recreate the scene so I could finish my nap.

Toy Time
Hi. I thought I would check in with everyone. I'm still working on all my home skills but I really wanted to tell you about some of the fun I'm having too.
So FoMa decided that I am very good with toys and I finally get that they can be really fun. She pulled down Tapper's bag of birthday toys and we could have them as long as we shared together. I wanted to give each toy a once over before they joined the collection.

This says dogs will just love the sound it makes. Funny it doesn't seem to squeak at all. Just makes a weird crackling noise. Mmmm FoMa I think this one's broken and no I didn't do it.
Yes FoMa? Yes I'm sharing. Tapper has a toy to play with. He's not complaining. Besides, I haven't finished with the Panda yet. Its a little difficult to keep my paws on all of them at once but I'm trying.
Ok, I have to go. FoMa says I have too many of the toys and I should let Tapper have a turn with them. I need to see what he's playing with and negotiate a trade. He can have this one that wont squeak. Ssshhhh, don't tell him it's broken. It will be our secret.

Getting In the Grove
Well I'm back to fill you in on how things are going here. FoMa has a long list of things she says I have to learn so that I'm ready for my furever family. I am ticking things off this list as fast as I can cus I just know you are waiting to take me home. Here's a few that are old hat for me already.
Lets see....grooming. I love getting the once over! I get checked from head to toe, including my ears, teeth and feet. I wait in line in the morning to get my teeth brushed. I even ran off with the tube of doggy tooth paste but I had to give it back. So now I try to be first in line. I'm real patient when I get my nails trimmed. Last time FoMa laughed at me because I fell asleep with my tongue hanging out. It really wasn't funny. It just meant that FoMa took forever to finish. I don't have that many nails!
House rules. I love living inside a nice comfy house and can't wait to have one of my very own. I can do the stairs up and down all by myself. I look a little wonky going down but I get there. I'm not afraid of shiny floors at all. This house does not have any carpets downstairs so I've learned to walk carefully and that playing chase with Tapper is not a good idea. I don't climb on the furniture and I've never taken anything from the counter. I do check for leftovers but no luck so far and I leave when FoMa says 'out'. I know to go potty outside and that the back door is the place to stand when its time. I plan to step it up and learn to use the bells like Tapper does. I run in my crate for every meal where I eat slowly and never try to get to Tapper's food. Water escapes me when I drink but hey its water, what do you want me to do?
Oh boy - Outside, my favorite. Inside is cool but I still love the great outdoors. I know the difference between going outside and going for a WALK! I know how to 'hold' perfectly still while I get my leash on and off. I've learned to 'wait' at the doors until its time to go. Sometimes it seems like we stand there for a long time but FoMa says its practice. Here's a picture of us just hanging out in the doorway.
I walk really well on the leash with out pulling or wandering from side to side. I've learned the difference between regular walk and a sniff and mark walk. Of course sniff and mark are my favorite. I'm good at meeting both adults and little kids. Boy those kids ask a lot of questions and there is so much to sniff on them. I stick to the sniffing and kissing and let FoMa handle all the questions. Here I am walking with Tapper. I'm on the right in the red collar. FoMa should work on a better video because you can't really see my happy face. I'm sure you don't want to see the top of my head.
Off I go to see what else is on this list. I know I can learn a lot more things before we meet. While I'm busy with that, you can work on the application. Its at the top of the screen on the right. Just tell the greyt folks at GEGR that you want to meet me. That's Comet.... with a C. You probably already know that.
Bye now, I'm off to bed.

Moved Down the Road
Comet here. I wanted to update everyone on what I've been doing over the past week or so. My first foster family had to go on vacation and so they thought I should have one too. So I have a new FoMa and new FoBro named Tapper. The skin brothers in this house are a lot older and taller than my last home so I have to reach up now to give kisses but I don't mind.
My journey to my new foster home started with a long ride to Va Beach. Sure hope I get a trip to the beach soon. FoMa says I rode so well that she kept checking on me to see if I was ok. I was just showing her that I know how to travel like a pro. This is me 5 minutes after getting in the car. I took a very long nap.

Here I am all settled in to my new crate. There was lots to do in there but I wanted to watch all the happenings. Soooooo is it dinner time yet? Getting a little hungry in here.
After a couple of days of no pee in the house, FoMa said I could hang out and sleep upstairs. She tried to take my picture but I was determined to give her my 'stink' eye. I'm so good that I can give it from either side.
FoMa just laughed and told me that the first foster family already told her about my stink eye. Darn and I thought I was working it. Seems FoMa likes my happy faces so I gave in. Here you go. All smiles.
Well I'm off to learn more about this new home. Don't worry I'm not looking to stay. Vacation homes are nice but I'm still on the look out for my furever home.

Can't Wait to Meet You!
I am getting so excited for the next adopt-a-thon. Are you getting excited to meet me? I sure hope so. I have been having some fun outside and even playing in the water a bit. I can't wait to play with my forever family... maybe it's you!

Do I have something on my nose?
Foster mom loves when it's meal time and so do I! She feeds me yummy food and puts a scoop of yogurt in it. She always laughs while I'm eating and I'm not quite sure why.
The weather has been very rain and we have been very excited for the times that we get to go outside and play or just lay in the grass!
